2018
Where it started: client service and communication
Samuel's professional journey began in 2018 while studying at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in Nyeri, Kenya. Starting with academic writing and research support services, he built an early understanding of client acquisition, project management, deadline management, and professional communication — skills that would underpin every subsequent role.
That experience grew into Specific Writers, a content and copywriting business through which Samuel expanded into blog writing, website content development, business documentation, and digital services — developing the client management systems and professional discipline that later shaped Markets By Eshy's service delivery standards.
2022–2023
Learning the real economy: sales, food service, and product development
During breaks in academic work, Samuel took deliberate steps to understand business from the ground up — not in theory, but in practice. Working in sales at Moses Dishes in 2022 and in food preparation and customer service at Joe's Restaurant in 2023, he gained direct exposure to customer behaviour, pricing dynamics, product-market fit, and the daily realities of small business ownership in Nairobi, Kenya.
At Joe's Restaurant, Samuel contributed product innovation ideas alongside operational responsibilities — an early signal of the systems-thinking approach he would later apply at scale across Markets By Eshy's client engagements.
2023
Technology, branding, and digital infrastructure: VectorSpace
In 2023, Samuel joined VectorSpace, where he designed and built the company's website frontend, configured hosting infrastructure, established business email systems, and led the first phase of digital marketing and brand visibility. The role placed him at the intersection of technology, brand experience, and business growth — the same intersection on which Markets By Eshy is built.
2024
Field marketing, campaign execution, and team leadership: Spark Communications
In 2024, Samuel joined Spark Communications, where he contributed to the rollout of FarmerChat — an AI-powered agricultural advisory platform developed in partnership with Digital Green — supporting farmer onboarding and technology adoption across multiple counties in Kenya. He subsequently led the field marketing and activation team for Megagrowth beauty products, executing campaigns across Nairobi, Nyeri, and Meru counties.
These campaigns strengthened Samuel's expertise in field activation strategy, activation team management, stakeholder engagement, customer acquisition systems, and performance reporting — capabilities now offered through Markets By Eshy's Activations division.
2024
Business systems, HR technology, and digital transformation: OHMITEX Smart Controls
At OHMITEX Smart Controls Ltd — a building management systems company based in Nairobi, Kenya — Samuel contributed to business development while building internal technology systems for marketing, sales, human resources, attendance management, and operational reporting. OHMITEX Smart Controls is also a confirmed client of Markets By Eshy, for whom Samuel later delivered website development and digital presence work.

Workforce systems: Mazingira Recyclers
At Mazingira Recyclers, a Nairobi-based manufacturing company, Samuel worked in human resources and administration, developing a custom workforce attendance and tracking system alongside his operational responsibilities. The experience deepened his understanding of people management, process improvement, and the role of technology in organisational efficiency — directly informing Markets By Eshy's employer branding and corporate training service lines.
2025–2026
Renewable energy, institutional sales, and business development: Megawatt Ingenieria
At Megawatt Ingenieria Limited — a renewable energy and solar installation company operating across Kenya — Samuel led institutional sales, partnerships, and business development as Marketing and Sales Officer. Through the Solar for Schools programme, he worked directly with school leaders, education department officials, county-level stakeholders, and financing partners including KCB Bank, conducting field outreach across schools in Nairobi, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, and Laikipia counties.
Beyond sales, Samuel developed custom software and reporting tools to improve operational efficiency and campaign tracking across Megawatt's field teams — building a practical understanding of the systems that make large-scale field campaigns manageable, measurable, and repeatable.
